Christmas Wreath Workshop 2021

Abi’s Arrangements first Christmas Wreath Workshop held at Church of the Ascension, Torrisholme on Thursday 9th December 2021. The class cost £45 per person and included a wreath to last all of the festive period, as well as freshly brewed non alcoholic mulled wine, fresh mince pies and Christmas nibbles. 

Each wreath was fully prepped by our talented florists, Shae and Belinda in what was shown as the ‘old-school’ floristry technique - using Sphagnum moss and a copper wreath frame. Due to the base already being prepped, this then offered workshop attendees more time to indulge in the creative processes of foliage building and decoration placing.

Abi - owner of Abi’s Arrangements then demonstrated how to how to bind foliage to the moss ring with wire, and how to group a mixture of fluffier and denser foliage’s together to build a visually rich base eg - spruce, holly and eucalyptus. Whether attendee’s wanted a warm-toned wreath with winter berries with dried orange slices, or cool-toned with fresh foliage and a more neutral appearance with cones and lotus, all tastes were catered for.

  

Abi, Hayley and Shae mingled around the benches throughout the evening, creating a friendly atmosphere whilst ensuring everybody completed their wreath and left feeling proud of their creation. Abi’s Arrangements first ever wreath workshop was a truly indulgent evening and introduced yourself into the festive season, and definitely makes the perfect early present, or a night of fun with friends!
